Mazda Motor Corporation's production and sales results for April 2016 are summarized below.
I. Production
Note: As of January 2007, overseas production figures are based on Mazda brand units coming off the production line (does not include CKD units).
1. Domestic Production Mazda's total domestic production volume in April 2016 increased 17.2% compared to April 2014 due to increased production of passenger vehicles.

2. Overseas Production Mazda's overseas production volume in April 2016 decreased 5.6% year-on-year due to decreased production of both passenger and commercial vehicles.

II. Domestic sales
Mazda's total domestic sales volume in April 2016 decreased 22.8% year-on-year, due to decreased sales of passenger vehicles. Mazda's registered vehicle market share was 4.4% (down 2.2 points year-on-year), with a 2.4% share of the micro mini segment (up 0.3 points year-on-year) and a 3.7% total market share (down 1.2 points year-on-year).

III. Exports
Mazda's export volume in April 2016 increased 18.6% year-on-year, reflecting increased shipments to Europe, Oceania and other regions.
